The electro-optical film, turning from light to dark, allows optimal control of the lighting of the rooms and contributes to the solar control characteristics of the glass. The management of the elements can be carried out directly by the user or in combination with sensors. The combination with optical filters, active in the ultraviolet (UV) and near infrared (NIR) spectral bands, allows UV protection above 99% and significant modulation of solar gains. The activation speed (switch time) allows response times of less than one second. The activation power consumption is between a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 5 W / m2.

CromaLite is a variable transmission electro-optical system based on the absorption of electromagnetic radiation.
CromaLite is an Isoclima proprietary brand that identifies a system based on a film incorporating electrically activatable suspended nanoparticle (SPD) technology. The system is completed by incorporating additional optical filters (UV and NIR) and interlayers with suitably selected viscoelastic properties.

Because CromaLite is a light-absorbing system and Absorbance (Optical Density) is a logarithmic function of particles concentration, the modulation window will be mainly dictated by the Toff value, so the lower is the Toff (darker film) the smaller will be the modulation window.
